Role overview

Vanta helps businesses continuously monitor, verify, and demonstrate their security posture. As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer in the GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) organization, you will lead technical strategy and complex projects that power Vanta’s core product offerings. This role sits at the center of Vanta’s push into enterprise markets, where you’ll design systems that enable customers to integrate their security and compliance programs seamlessly with Vanta’s platform.

Key responsibilities

Lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver significant business impact.
Set technical direction for critical areas of the product and infrastructure to support Vanta’s rapid growth.
Design, develop, and own new product functionality and infrastructure using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
Collaborate with talented engineers to create solutions that help customers improve and prove their security posture.
Mentor and support the engineering team while contributing to the development of Vanta’s engineering culture.

Requirements

At least five years of professional software engineering experience.
Demonstrated technical leadership through previous roles leading teams or managing complex projects.
Background in a startup environment or experience working in settings that value speed and action.
Prior experience building greenfield projects from the ground up.
Interest in learning about security or existing experience in the security space.
