Senior Product Engineer II - Fullstack

Role overview

Docebo is an AI-powered learning platform that helps organizations create, deliver, and manage training. As a Senior Product Engineer II, you’ll own complex technical initiatives across the full stack, bringing deep expertise in either backend or frontend engineering while maintaining strong working knowledge of the broader system. You’ll serve as a technical anchor within your squad, driving architecture decisions and helping teammates deliver high-quality software consistently.

Key responsibilities

Own complex technical initiatives end to end, from architecture and implementation through production deployment and ongoing evolution across multiple sprint cycles.
Build solutions that span frontend applications, APIs, backend services, data layers, and platform integrations to deliver complete customer outcomes.
Set technical direction by bringing deep expertise in your primary discipline while shaping architecture decisions and engineering patterns across the broader system.
Evaluate complex technical tradeoffs, manage risk, and balance immediate delivery needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
Break down complex work, coordinate technical dependencies across teams, and help remove blockers to maintain squad delivery momentum.
Raise the bar for testing, CI/CD practices, observability, architecture quality, code standards, and pragmatic technical debt management.
Partner with Product, Design, QA, SRE, platform teams, and other engineering groups to translate customer problems into reliable solutions, while mentoring engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Six or more years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in either backend or frontend engineering and strong working competency across the full stack.
Proven track record of owning complex technical initiatives from architecture through production deployment and operation.
Strong understanding of scalable application architecture, APIs, distributed systems, cloud services, and maintainable production software.
Demonstrated ability to guide engineers through uncertainty, establish effective architecture patterns, and raise engineering standards.
Comfort navigating unfamiliar systems and safely making changes across frontend, backend, and integration boundaries.
Strong experience with automated testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and pragmatic technical debt management.
Ability to explain technical tradeoffs, challenge assumptions constructively, and align stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Design, QA, and platform teams.
