Role overview
Docebo is an AI-powered learning platform that helps organizations create, deliver, and manage training. As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you’ll work on the Salesforce organization that serves as the system of record for how Docebo sells, renews, and serves customers. This small, senior team is distributed between Canada and Italy and has recently implemented formal development processes, security standards, and a hardening program.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build production-quality solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and platform configuration, working through the complete lifecycle from problem statement to release.
- Review all new and changed integrations against the organization’s security standard, including connected app scopes, OAuth lifecycle, and permission models, and push back on requests that exceed necessary access levels.
- Conduct code and design reviews for the team’s pull requests and solutions, maintaining standards around maintainability, test coverage, deployment readiness, and change controls.
- Own a share of the technical debt and hardening backlog by retiring unused automation, consolidating permission models, and reducing organizational risk.
- Support user activation, license allocation, and permission assignment work, and help transition manual processes toward documented roles and automation.
- Partner with Revenue Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success teams on scoping, and collaborate with administrators and QA on testing and release activities.
- Participate in daily check-ins and biweekly backlog and capacity reviews.
Requirements
- Several years of hands-on production Salesforce development experience shipping Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and integrations including REST, platform events, and middleware.
- Deep understanding of connected apps, OAuth scopes, permission sets, profiles, and integration users, with the ability to identify and explain security misconfigurations.
- Proven experience reviewing code and designs from other engineers, with the ability to provide direct and actionable feedback.
- Familiarity with governed environments including SOX controls, structured deployment windows, mandatory UAT, and source-control-backed deployment pipelines.
- Clear written and spoken English communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, scope your own work, seek clarity early, and recognize under-specified requests.
- Reliable availability during the daily team check-in at 09:30 Eastern / 15:30 Central European time from either Toronto or a European location.
What makes this role worth considering
You’ll join a small, senior team that values structure and security, where your judgment and expertise directly shape the platform’s architecture and standards. The role offers genuine collaboration with stakeholders across business functions, and the opportunity to move from managing tickets toward architectural leadership on a mission-critical system. The team operates across North America and Europe with a hybrid model requiring three days per week in the office to support collaboration.
