Coinbase is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join the Financial Services & Loyalty team within the Consumer & Business group. You will develop user-facing experiences for financial products including the Coinbase One credit card, crypto rewards programs, and consumer payment solutions. This role offers the opportunity to build features that directly impact millions of customers and drive measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Own end-to-end frontend development for web and mobile financial services products using React and React Native, covering card onboarding, rewards systems, transaction flows, and payment processes.
Build new features that expand loyalty and card product capabilities while maintaining high code quality standards that directly influence customer engagement and revenue.
Lead experimentation and funnel optimization initiatives that improve conversion rates, user activation, and retention across critical user journeys.
Work across product, design, and backend engineering teams to translate business requirements into polished and performant user experiences.
Identify and address frontend performance issues, contributing to measurable improvements in customer user journey latency and system availability targets.

Requirements

Minimum three years of software engineering experience with substantial focus on frontend development using React and React Native.
Proven ability to own features throughout their complete lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through testing and production deployment.
Experience working with experimentation frameworks and optimizing conversion funnels, including the ability to instrument code, measure results, and iterate on user-facing features.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with demonstrated success delivering features alongside product, design, and backend teams.
Responsible use of generative AI tools while maintaining human oversight to ensure business-ready outputs and drive improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
