Role overview

Docebo is an AI-powered learning platform that helps organizations create, deliver, and manage training at scale. As a Staff Product Engineer, you will define product direction and tackle high-impact technical challenges across the entire platform ecosystem, designing scalable systems that serve millions of learners worldwide while operating at the intersection of product strategy, full-stack architecture, and AI-driven execution.

Key responsibilities

Define long-term architectural standards and design resilient systems using the company’s modern tech stack including serverless services, Node.js with TypeScript, Golang, PHP, Angular, React, and AWS infrastructure.
Lead complex, end-to-end, cross-functional product initiatives from initial problem definition through to measurable business outcomes.
Partner with Product and Design leadership to influence roadmaps, validate assumptions, and embed technical leverage into strategic decisions.
Establish AI-assisted development practices, standards, and guardrails across engineering teams to enable faster, safer shipping with higher output.
Raise the bar across CI/CD, observability, testing, and operational reliability while identifying and eliminating systemic bottlenecks affecting multiple teams.
Engage directly with internal stakeholders and customers to understand pain points, using product analytics tools to design and measure experiments.
Coach engineers across different disciplines on architecture, product thinking, and effective use of AI tools while driving alignment through technical credibility.

Requirements

Ten to twelve or more years of full-stack software development experience with a demonstrated track record of designing, building, and shipping complex SaaS products end-to-end.
Experience working with multiple backend languages and frameworks including PHP, Node.js, Golang, Angular, React, and serverless technologies, with ability to work across scalability and performance challenges.
Daily proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex to enhance productivity and code quality.
Advanced fluency with product analytics platforms like PostHog, Amplitude, or Mixpanel, and comfort running experiments through feature flags and A/B testing.
Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments such as AWS, containerization including Kubernetes, and modern observability practices.
Strong ability to navigate complex, undefined problems by breaking them into executable technical plans with clear tradeoffs and implications.
Proven track record of mentoring engineering talent, communicating with customers and stakeholders, and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
