Role overview

BRKZ is a rapidly expanding construction-technology startup in Saudi Arabia that operates a platform connecting contractors with building-material suppliers. As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will manage invoice processing, vendor payments, and financial reconciliations to support the company’s continued growth and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

Process and verify invoices while ensuring accurate coding, posting, and alignment with purchase orders, contracts, and company policies.
Prepare and execute vendor payments through various methods including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments, adhering to agreed payment terms.
Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve payment discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare monthly AP aging reports and contribute to cash flow forecasting and month-end closing activities.
Ensure all AP operations comply with internal policies, IFRS standards, and audit requirements while maintaining strong internal controls.
Coordinate with procurement, operations, and other departments to resolve invoice and payment issues, and communicate with vendors to address inquiries.
Contribute to identifying and implementing process improvements and support automation initiatives within the AP function.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum two years of experience in accounts payable or a comparable accounting role.
Strong understanding of AP processes, IFRS standards, and internal control frameworks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
Solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors while managing multiple priorities under pressure.
