Role overview

BRKZ is a fast-growing construction-technology startup in Saudi Arabia that connects contractors with building-material suppliers through a digital platform. As Treasury & Banking Accountant, you will manage the company’s bank accounts, oversee Letters of Credit and cheque processing, and serve as the primary banking contact across the organisation, working with Zoho Books to maintain daily accuracy and support financial operations.

Key responsibilities

Upload and reconcile all bank statements daily across multiple company accounts in Zoho Books, clearing unmatched items within 48 hours.
Investigate unidentified receipts, bank charges and discrepancies, posting corrected entries or requesting adjustments as needed.
Follow Letters of Credit from receipt through to deposit, verifying that required documents match LC terms before submission to banks.
Submit LC documents to banks, track their review process, and resolve any discrepancies before expiry.
Deposit customer cheques, track them until clearing, and handle returned cheques by recording reversals and coordinating with relevant teams.
Maintain updated trackers for all open LCs, cheques and pending transactions, including status and expected dates.
Support the company and teams with banking requests such as transfers, bank letters, guarantees and account inquiries, and act as day-to-day contact with bank relationship managers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
At least two years of hands-on experience in treasury, banking operations or bank reconciliation.
Practical experience with Letters of Credit, including document preparation, bank submission and resolving discrepancies.
Experience depositing and tracking cheques, including managing returned cheques.
Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems.
Fluent Arabic and good English.
Familiarity with Zoho Books, Saudi bank online portals, basic knowledge of UCP 600 rules, and strong Excel or Google Sheets skills are preferred.
