Role overview

Tamara is seeking a Data Analyst II to support its finance function and drive growth through data-driven insights. This role sits at the intersection of finance and analytics, requiring both a solid understanding of accounting principles and practical technical expertise to shape financial reporting and support decision-making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

Generate actionable business insights and identify key opportunities for rapid growth through data analysis.
Build and maintain dashboards that deliver accurate, actionable insights to stakeholders across the business.
Collaborate with the data engineering team to identify and address data enrichment needs for the product team.
Work with business stakeholders to prioritize analytical projects based on potential impact and ensure timely delivery.
Develop processes to identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets to enable informed decision-making.
Maintain governance standards and promote good analytical practices throughout all analysis and reporting work.

Requirements

Minimum four years of experience in financial data analysis, with preference for background in the BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) industry or a related field.
Proficiency with financial modeling, SQL for data manipulation, and programming languages such as Python or R.
Strong ability to create clear and insightful data visualizations, dashboards, and reports.
Demonstrated experience in financial budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement analysis.
Knowledge of BNPL products and their associated financial metrics, including approval rates, conversion rates, delinquency, and recovery performance.
Understanding of equity markets, debt markets, derivatives markets, and debt securitization structures and analysis.
Awareness of relevant financial regulations including GAAP, IFRS, and industry-specific requirements.
