Role overview

This position supports the grocery category management team in developing and executing strategies for the Ultrafresh product segment. You will work closely with the Category Manager to build optimal product assortments, manage pricing and promotions, and drive category performance within Careem’s fast-growing Q-commerce platform.

Key responsibilities

Assist the Category Manager in executing strategies aligned with business objectives for the Ultrafresh category
Support sourcing activities and maintain product assortment by coordinating with suppliers on pricing, promotions, and product information
Monitor category performance metrics including sales, pricing, and stock levels, identifying risks and opportunities
Plan and execute weekly and monthly promotional campaigns in partnership with suppliers and internal teams
Manage product listings, content, and imagery on the platform in coordination with the content team
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new products, and competitive pricing benchmarks

Requirements

Two to three years of experience in the Ultrafresh sector, preferably in retail or quick commerce environments
In-depth knowledge of the Ultrafresh market in the UAE, including suppliers, seasonal patterns, and quality standards
Strong communication and coordination abilities with a commercial mindset
Excellent organizational skills and proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
Analytical capabilities and understanding of category performance metrics and commercial KPIs
Proactive mindset with enthusiasm for learning in a dynamic environment
