Role overview

As Chief of Staff to the Chief Human Resources Officer at Coinbase, you will act as a strategic partner and force multiplier for the People organization’s leadership. You’ll manage the CHRO’s priorities, ensure focus remains on high-impact initiatives, and amplify leadership messaging across the organization. Coinbase is on a mission to increase economic freedom and operates as a remote-first company with quarterly in-person working sessions.

Key responsibilities

Manage the CHRO’s operating cadence by organizing and directing weekly and quarterly leadership meetings, establishing clear agendas, driving decisions, and tracking completion of follow-up items.
Lead cross-functional initiatives and engagements on behalf of the CHRO, serving as her representative in key meetings and decisions when needed.
Create compelling content and communications including presentation decks, organization-wide emails, social media posts, and materials for speaking engagements that elevate the CHRO’s voice and message.
Identify and resolve potential issues proactively before they escalate to executive level, translating complex ambiguity into clear recommendations for decision-making.
Represent the CHRO’s perspective and priorities across the organization to ensure alignment and advance People team objectives with cross-functional partners.

Requirements

Seven or more years of experience in management consulting, business operations, strategy, or serving as chief of staff to senior executives.
Demonstrated ability to break down ambiguous and complex topics into clear, executive-ready recommendations and communications across multiple formats including decks, emails, and social content.
Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives from start to finish while managing multiple workstreams with clear ownership and accountability.
Knowledge of the cryptocurrency space or demonstrated enthusiasm with a commitment to learn and engage deeply with the ecosystem.
Responsible experience with generative AI tools, maintaining appropriate human oversight to produce business-quality outputs while improving workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
