AI Product Designer (US Based)

Key responsibilities

Lead design discovery sessions with clients, acting as the subject matter expert and providing strategic recommendations based on design thinking principles and UX research.
Produce comprehensive design materials including user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and assets for both clients and development teams.
Anchor projects by leading client meetings on design matters, implementing project-level solutions independently, and maintaining strategic alignment with long-term product vision.
Ensure consistently high-quality design outputs by applying industry best practices, soliciting feedback from QA and Engineering, and setting improvement standards to reduce errors.
Mentor team members by providing coaching and technical guidance, while actively contributing to process improvements and driving innovation initiatives across disciplines.
Manage stakeholder communication by establishing regular cadences, presenting project statuses tailored to different audiences, and collaborating effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, and Sales.
Contribute to thought leadership by engaging with the professional community through speaking and writing, while staying current with design trends and emerging AI-native interface patterns.

Requirements

Three to five years of professional experience in Product Design or UX/UI roles.
Demonstrated AI-first mindset with comfort integrating AI tools into your design workflow and building AI-native interfaces.
Hands-on experience using AI to rapidly prototype designs and collect user feedback iteratively.
Strong proficiency in UX design discipline, including creating user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, with expert-level skill in Figma and other current design software.
User-centric design approach grounded in empirical data and design ethics, with meticulous attention to detail, typography, and interactivity.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, and Sales, guiding product decisions through user testing and iterative feedback loops.
Self-motivated ownership mentality, strong portfolio demonstrating previous work samples, and openness to new tools while maintaining principled views on design best practices.
