Role overview

Portworx by Everpure is seeking a Cloud Native Architect to serve as a customer-facing technical expert. Portworx is a cloud-native platform that enables enterprises to deploy containerized applications across multiple clouds and on-premises environments, managing any database or stateful service on any infrastructure using any container scheduler. This architect role will be instrumental in capturing the rapidly growing market opportunity around Kubernetes adoption at enterprise scale.

Key responsibilities

Provide deep technical and business expertise to customers who are implementing stateful applications in containers.
Automate and optimize “Day 2” data management workflows for containerized environments.
Serve as a technical thought leader and present solutions that address complex customer challenges.
Distill complex technical problems into simplified visions that demonstrate the value of Everpure technologies.
Coach and influence teams and partners to drive desired behaviors and outcomes.
Engage across the full spectrum of co-selling partners to capture market opportunities.
Travel regionally as needed to support customer engagements.

Requirements

Five or more years of experience as a customer-facing senior-level technical architect.
Five or more years of Linux administration and/or Linux development experience, with an industry-recognized administration-level or higher certification.
Three or more years of Kubernetes administration experience and a KCNA (Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate) certification or higher.
Certification-level proficiency in Kubernetes orchestration environments such as OpenShift or Rancher.
Certification-level proficiency in cloud infrastructure platforms including VMware, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and OpenStack.
Certification-level proficiency with DevOps concepts and hands-on experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipeline applications.
Certification-level proficiency in data engineering, big data, and database operations and delivery services.
Demonstrable understanding of data platform technologies for highly available business applications across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
Demonstrable ability to see and present the big picture with thought leadership, offer solutions to improve outcomes, and challenge the status quo in the best interest of customers.
Ability to travel up to 50 percent as needed regionally.
