Role overview
e.construct is seeking a Concrete Laboratory Technician to lead laboratory operations focused on precast and ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) testing. This position reports to the Project Controls department and involves managing comprehensive material trials and performance validation to ensure laboratory findings align with production outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all laboratory trials independently, ensuring rigorous testing protocols for precast and UHPC concrete materials
- Conduct material testing and aggregate grading analysis with emphasis on particle size distribution (PSD) optimization
- Validate concrete performance characteristics through systematic laboratory procedures
- Monitor alignment between laboratory test results and actual production output quality
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all testing procedures and outcomes
- Support the engineering team with technical data to inform design and production decisions
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills in aggregate grading and particle size distribution analysis
- Demonstrated experience with concrete performance testing and validation methodologies
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality laboratory standards
- Technical knowledge of precast and ultra-high-performance concrete materials
