Role overview

This Enterprise Engineer position is part of Coinbase’s EE Legal Platforms team, which manages the company’s legal technology stack including Ironclad, Evisort, Brightflag, DocuSign, and a connected ecosystem of business systems. You will build and operate workflows, integrations, and data foundations that ensure Legal systems remain auditable, reliable, and scalable while partnering with Legal, Compliance, Security, and Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

Own Ironclad architecture, workflows, and contract lifecycle management, including integrations to systems that feed into and consume from the platform.
Build and maintain system integrations using Workato and APIs, with a focus on automation that eliminates manual work in Legal intake and fulfillment processes.
Support and evolve adjacent Legal Platforms such as Evisort, Brightflag, and DocuSign, prioritizing workflows, integrations, and operational reliability.
Execute data migrations, backfills, reconciliations, and data hygiene activities to preserve system integrity across the legal toolchain.
Manage platform access, credentials, and service accounts for Legal systems, including token lifecycle management and access control documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes and deploy changes safely to production.

Requirements

Between 3 and 6 or more years of hands-on experience administering and evolving Ironclad and/or DocuSign (or comparable contract lifecycle management and eSignature platforms) in production environments, including complex template, workflow, and permissions design.
Practical experience building integrations using Workato or similar integration platforms, REST APIs, webhooks, authentication flows, and structured data payloads, with demonstrated ability to debug integration failures and resolve data inconsistencies.
Demonstrated track record performing data migrations, bulk data loads, and reconciliations while maintaining data integrity at scale.
Ability to own a platform end-to-end, operate independently without detailed requirements, and translate technical details into clear guidance for Legal and business stakeholders.
Competency in using generative AI tools responsibly, maintaining human oversight, and applying human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
