Role overview

Scale is seeking a Finance Systems Integration Lead to join the Finance Systems and Automation team in San Francisco. You will design and build integrations, automations, and AI-driven workflows that streamline operations across Finance, Accounting, People Operations, and Recruiting. This role focuses on connecting systems, eliminating manual processes, and creating scalable solutions that drive operational efficiency across the organization.

Key responsibilities

Design and implement agent-driven workflows and automation systems that span People Operations, Recruiting, Finance, and Accounting functions.
Partner with stakeholders across multiple departments to translate business processes into scalable, automated solutions.
Lead end-to-end implementation of workflows, managing requirements, deployment, and validation to ensure reliable performance.
Build automations for candidate-to-employee transitions, employee lifecycle events such as onboarding and offboarding, and approval flows across interconnected systems.
Design underlying integrations and data flows that enable reliable automation and support intelligent agent behavior.
Establish best practices for workflow design, monitoring, error handling, and documentation across all automation systems.
Collaborate with data and engineering teams to ensure automation systems are built on solid data foundations and support adoption through stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience building integrations and automation workflows across business systems.
Hands-on experience with an iPaaS platform such as Workato, Mulesoft, or Boomi, with Workato Certification being particularly valued.
Demonstrated experience building or experimenting with AI-powered workflows, LLM APIs, or agent-driven systems.
Experience designing workflows across employee lifecycle processes including hiring, onboarding, management, and offboarding.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with excellent cross-functional communication abilities.
A builder mindset focused on delivering reliable, scalable solutions with understanding of how to design production-ready agentic workflows with proper validation and error handling.
