Role overview

Kepler Communications operates the first commercial optical data relay constellation, with 33 satellites launched to date, delivering real-time on-orbit connectivity for critical missions. The Financial Reporting Manager will lead the controllership function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, disciplined accounting practices, effective internal controls, and readiness for audits as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
Partner closely with the Head of Finance and Chief Financial Officer to support the company’s scaling efforts.
Establish and maintain effective internal controls across accounting processes and financial systems.
Lead the accounting team in executing their responsibilities with discipline and consistency.
Prepare and coordinate financial documentation and records for external and internal audits.

Requirements

Experience leading accounting functions or controllership responsibilities within a scaling technology company.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and audit procedures.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective internal controls and accounting processes.
Experience working collaboratively with senior finance leadership, including CFOs and finance teams.
Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software.
