Docebo is an AI-powered learning platform that helps organizations create, deliver, and manage training while automating repetitive tasks and personalizing learning experiences. As a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll be a core member of a new team bridging cutting-edge AI technology with real-world customer impact, working directly with strategic enterprise clients to transform complex learning and development workflows through autonomous AI agents.

Key responsibilities

Establish operational frameworks, internal playbooks, and technical roadmaps for the Forward Deployed Engineering function from its inception.
Partner directly with strategic enterprise customers to map complex L&D workflows and identify high-impact opportunities for AI agent integration.
Design, build, and deploy custom AI agents that integrate seamlessly with customer systems and the Docebo Agent Hub.
Own the complete product lifecycle from discovery and system architecture through production deployment, monitoring, and iterative optimization.
Translate customer insights and hands-on experience into foundational platform enhancements that scale across the broader ecosystem.
Shape the founding team culture, cross-functional organization design, and technical discipline as the function grows.

Requirements

At least five years of hands-on experience building, shipping, and maintaining production-grade full-stack software products.
Proven experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying agentic AI systems and large language model-powered applications in production environments.
Proficiency in the core tech stack including React and TypeScript for frontend development, and Next.js with TypeScript for backend development.
Strong systems architecture background with solid experience in distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, and integration with LLM providers.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, make high-stakes decisions with incomplete information, and take complete ownership from zero to one.
Familiarity with modern engineering tooling such as GitLab, Datadog, OpenTofu, and multi-LLM orchestration platforms.
Strong customer-centric mindset with confidence and communication skills for direct engagement with enterprise stakeholders.
