Role overview

Geotab is a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, processing billions of data points daily to help businesses manage fleets, enhance driver safety, and improve sustainability. As Head of Security Centre, you will own the complete product vision, strategy, and roadmap for vehicle and asset security solutions—spanning theft prevention, stolen-asset tracking, and recovery—with successful recovery rate as the primary key performance area.

Key responsibilities

Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Security Centre while taking full accountability for key business outcomes including vehicle recovery rates.
Drive end-to-end product discovery, requirements, prioritization, and delivery, leveraging AI tools to optimize reach and efficiency across the domain.
Validate new business cases by sizing markets, mapping competitors, and testing willingness to pay across target markets before scaling.
Manage and maintain existing theft-prevention offerings including Starter Inhibit, immobilization, and relay-kit solutions to ensure continuous product health.
Establish direct feedback loops with external fleet customers, sales, and support teams to identify gaps and refine product features.
Define and track core performance metrics including adoption, retention, time-to-value, NPS, and domain revenue.
Collaborate with platform, segment, and solution domain leads to deliver a seamless theft-prevention-to-recovery user journey and present data-driven growth recommendations to department leadership.

Requirements

10–12 years of experience in related fields, with 7+ years specifically in product management, product engineering, or customer-facing product roles, ideally in telematics, vehicle security, or IoT.
3+ years owning a product line or business outcome end-to-end, including building and validating business cases.
5–8 years of leadership experience, with 2+ years in a role demonstrating accountability for customer-facing outcomes and cross-functional coordination.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Deep domain knowledge of vehicle security and anti-theft technologies such as immobilization, starter inhibit, keyless access, and jamming/spoofing defense.
Strong P&L literacy, deep customer empathy, and AI nativity to redesign workflows around emerging AI capabilities.
Self-starter mindset capable of owning a single-person domain hands-on, with excellent communication skills and ability to travel approximately 10–15% of the time.
