Junior Procurement Officer - UAE National Only

Etihad Airways is seeking a young UAE national with procurement experience to join its procurement operations team in Abu Dhabi. This full-time position supports the execution of sourcing, buying, purchase order processing, and contract administration across the airline’s procurement function, ensuring all activities align with Etihad’s governance and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

Provide support to Category Managers throughout the sourcing execution lifecycle, including requirements definition, request for information or proposal issuance, award decisions, contract setup, and related activities using established best practices.
Execute tactical and low-value procurement activities and manage self-service procurement channels including P-Cards, managed catalogues, and guided buying from master service agreements while maintaining compliance and improving service delivery.
Manage end-to-end procurement operations and administration, including contract administration and document management, ensuring proper use of templates and Ariba system functionality and reporting.
Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders efficiently and in a timely manner.
Perform post-contract administration activities such as tracking contract consumption, generating related reports, and capturing contract and supplier performance data for use by insights teams and category managers.
Coordinate with the Accounts Payable department to resolve payment-related issues.

Requirements

Hold a diploma-level qualification.
Demonstrate awareness and understanding of aviation and indirect procurement categories.
Possess a minimum of three years of experience in procurement operations and sourcing.
Have experience with procure-to-pay processes and proficiency with tools such as SAP and Ariba.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills and proactive approach to work.
Show comfort using systems and tools relevant to procurement functions.
Display a commitment to learning and understanding procurement processes comprehensively.
