Role overview

Geotab, a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, is seeking a Manager, Global Benefits to lead the design, strategy, and administration of employee benefits programs across multiple international markets. This role reports to HR leadership and serves as the strategic partner to senior business stakeholders on all global benefits matters.

Key responsibilities

Design and execute a globally consistent yet locally responsive benefits strategy that aligns with Geotab’s Total Rewards philosophy and reflects the company’s employee value proposition.
Oversee benefits program administration across all active Geotab geographies, including Canada, the United States, UAE/Dubai, EMEA, and LATAM, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and cultural expectations in each region.
Lead benefits due diligence and integration workstreams for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including assessment of acquired entity programs and development of harmonization plans.
Champion the use of AI tools and data analytics to improve program effectiveness, employee experience, and operational efficiency, including evaluation and implementation of AI-powered benefits platforms.
Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and workflow protocols to systematize benefits inquiry management and improve team efficiency.
Manage relationships with global benefits brokers, insurers, third-party administrators, and technology vendors, leading RFP processes and contract negotiations.
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of benefits specialists and administrators across regions, setting performance expectations and building team capability.
Design and execute benefits communication strategies that drive awareness and engagement across a global, multilingual workforce.
Ensure compliance with applicable legislation across all jurisdictions, overseeing regulatory filings, audits, and plan documentation.
Define and track key performance indicators for global benefits programs and produce executive-level reporting with insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

Eight to ten years of overall benefits management experience, including at least five years in a global capacity with proven expertise in vendor contract negotiation and executive-level reporting.
Three to five years of supervisory experience with direct supervision of benefits specialists or administrators, and two to three years leading in a matrixed or global HR environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and progressive work experience in global benefits.
Demonstrated expertise in managing compliance with international data privacy regulations such as GDPR and PIPEDA.
Professional HR certification such as CEBS, CHRL, GPHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP is preferred.
