Overview of the Role
In this role, you will support the Business and Project Management teams by preparing, tracking, updating, and adjusting construction schedules as needed. You will also monitor progress on site and see how it affects the overall project plan.
You will report to the Planning Manager or Senior Planning Manager.
What You Will Do
- Carefully study tender documents and help prepare tender programmes.
- Prepare Baseline and Contract schedules, including procurement and engineering tasks, then share these schedules with the right departments.
- Before a project starts, create short-term (three-week) and medium-term (three-month) look-ahead schedules based on the Baseline Programme.
- Prepare Plant Lists and Labour Histograms, both before and after the contract begins.
- Work closely with the Planning Manager to review and evaluate construction methods.
- Help the Estimation Team prepare cost estimates (Prelims).
- Work with the Planning Manager and Tendering Lead to prepare logistics plans and method statements.
- Spot difficult construction tasks and help build a list of project risks and opportunities.
- Track project progress and prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Help create plans to solve delays and update the project schedule when needed.
- Support the Planning Manager in checking how changes to the project affect the schedule.

What You Need for This Role
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of building and infrastructure construction, along with business growth and innovation.
- Good knowledge of local laws and regulations.
- Strong, hands-on experience using Primavera planning software in a work setting.
- Good understanding of planning methods and development processes.
- An engineering license is preferred.
Minimum Experience:
- At least 5–7 years of experience in project planning or a related technical role.
