Role overview

Jobber is a platform that enables small home service businesses—such as plumbers, electricians, painters, and landscapers—to quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments while delivering professional customer experiences. As a Senior Product Designer in the Fintech domain, you will be a central part of the Product Development team, working alongside Product Managers and Engineers to create software experiences used by hundreds of thousands of people globally. You will lead design initiatives within AI-native product teams, taking ownership of ideas, decisions, and outcomes throughout the design lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact design projects from initial concept through delivery, maintaining quality and consistency while exploring innovative solutions across all customer touchpoints.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to deeply understand customer needs, uncover new opportunities, and balance long-term vision with practical short-term objectives.
  • Establish and execute the UX strategy for your product area by decomposing complex problems into scalable, thoughtful solutions that serve both business and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with fellow designers to build a culture of growth and continuous improvement through constructive feedback and shared learning.
  • Advance customer-centric thinking throughout the product development process and champion exceptional user experience at every stage.

Requirements

  • Possess at least five years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating refined, impactful user experiences for web and mobile SaaS applications.
  • Master your design tools—including Figma, Figjam, Claude, and analog methods—and demonstrate judgment in selecting the right approach for each challenge.
  • Have applied experience using LLM-driven design tools and understand both how they transform your workflow and their limitations.
  • Display curiosity and proactivity in identifying customer pain points, developing innovative solutions, and extracting lessons from setbacks to drive improvement.
  • Show exceptional visual taste and interaction design capabilities reflected in your portfolio, with proven ability to navigate constraints and deliver thoughtful, ambitious work in regulated domains such as finance.
  • Communicate clearly about design impact, your reasoning, and trade-offs while excelling at cross-functional collaboration and partnership.
