Benevity, a B Corporation that provides social action technology to Fortune 100 companies, is hiring a Senior Tax Analyst for a 15-month term to cover maternity leave. You will join the Global Tax team, working directly with the Director, Global Tax, in a fast-paced SaaS environment that spans multiple countries and jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

Lead the preparation and execution of Canadian corporate tax filings and serve as the primary authority on tax compliance across Canada, the US, and Europe.
Manage the international compliance strategy by coordinating US and European corporate tax filings independently and with precision.
Own the transfer pricing lifecycle from methodology execution through monthly reporting and calculations.
Execute and finalize US sales tax filings using Avalara, coordinate Canadian sales tax filings with the Procure-to-Pay team, and oversee international VAT filings in partnership with external providers.
Architect the consolidated tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740 US GAAP and provide advisory support to Treasury, Accounting, and Financial Reporting teams.
Conduct research into complex tax issues within the SaaS ecosystem and design training programs to improve tax literacy across business units.
Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Product teams on cross-functional initiatives and special projects that support the organization’s growth.

Requirements

Designation as a CPA or equivalent professional credential.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive corporate tax preparation and provisioning experience in a Canadian or multinational setting.
Prior experience in public accounting or with a multinational enterprise.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Expert proficiency in modern tax and ERP systems including Netsuite, CCH iFirm, and Avalara.
Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP; familiarity with sales taxes is an asset.
Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams with autonomy and integrity.
