Role overview

Zip is an AI-powered enterprise procurement platform trusted by major companies including T-Mobile, OpenAI, AMD, and Mars. As a Solutions Integration Architect focused on SAP, you will design and maintain the technical foundation powering Zip’s ERP and integration ecosystem, with a specific emphasis on creating scalable, repeatable solutions within the SAP environment.

Key responsibilities

Design, build, maintain, and iterate on Zip’s core SAP (ECC and S/4HANA) and Ariba integration templates to ensure they deliver scalable and robust customer implementations.
Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to ensure integration templates remain aligned with core product architecture, field insights, and customer needs.
Analyze complex customer implementations to identify reusable data mapping patterns and system nuances, converting custom solutions into standardized internal assets.
Partner with account teams during pre-sales to design and validate integration architectures for prospective customers.
Define, document, and champion technical solution consulting best practices to raise standards and drive consistency across implementations.
Approach each technical challenge with an engineering mindset, designing solutions thoroughly so that future implementations can be executed efficiently and with minimal friction.

Requirements

At least six years of hands-on experience delivering integrations with SAP ERP environments, specifically ECC, S/4HANA, or procurement platforms such as Ariba.
Strong foundational knowledge of core SAP business processes and data models within Materials Management (MM) and Financials (FI) modules.
Familiarity with standard SAP integration methods including IDocs, BAPI/RFC, OData APIs, or SAP BTP/CPI.
Experience with XML and REST-based endpoints, standard authentication protocols, and API documentation.
Prior experience in ERP implementation, integration, configuration, or administration.
Ability to translate technical information for audiences with varying levels of technical expertise and to understand and document customer requirements with minimal oversight.
Strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and learning new technologies.
