The company seeks a Staff Engineer to lead large-scale technical initiatives and shape the future of its technology stack. This senior-level position combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic influence across the organization.

Key responsibilities

Scope, plan, and execute large-scale technical initiatives that align with business priorities and product roadmaps while identifying risks and innovation opportunities.
Design and build scalable systems across the full stack, including React and TypeScript frontends and Node.js backends, while maintaining performance, security, and reliability.
Deliver production-grade features end-to-end, improve existing codebases, and establish strong CI/CD pipelines and testing practices.
Serve as the technical expert who debugs and resolves complex issues across multiple systems and services.
Partner with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to clarify requirements and deliver user-focused solutions.
Coach junior and mid-level engineers, mentor peers, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Stay current on emerging technologies, experiment with new tools and frameworks, and share learnings to elevate team performance.

Requirements

Eight to fifteen years of professional software development experience with a track record of shipping large-scale features and driving architectural decisions at the organizational level.
Strong expertise in React and TypeScript for frontend development and proficiency in Node.js for backend work.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and DynamoDB, along with deep knowledge of API integration and third-party API management.
Demonstrated ability in system design, architecture, performance optimization, and application and infrastructure security best practices.
Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and YAML configuration, plus knowledge of automated testing frameworks and QA best practices.
Proven success mentoring and coaching engineers and influencing others without direct authority.
Familiarity with AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure platforms.
