Role overview

TribalScale is seeking a Transformation Engineer to join a client organization of approximately 500 employees on an extended engagement. In this hands-on role, you will build AI platform capabilities, serve as a technical leader, and guide the organization through AI adoption. You will combine engineering excellence with organizational change management to establish sustainable AI practices across the business.

Key responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain an LLM-powered company knowledge base that captures institutional knowledge and enables both employees and agents to access and use it effectively.
Architect and implement agentic memory and context strategies, including knowledge retrieval, indexing, and access control mechanisms that keep information secure and up to date.
Design and deploy production agentic applications with evaluations, observability, guardrails, testing, human oversight, and ongoing iteration capabilities.
Establish Claude Code practices and conventions across the organization, including skills, subagents, MCP integrations, and repeatable team workflows.
Design and deliver a structured training program covering agentic memory, harnesses, Claude Code, and practical AI workflows for technical and non-technical audiences across the 500-person organization.
Partner with stakeholders across engineering, IT, security, and business functions to prioritize AI use cases and align technical delivery with organizational needs.
Define and establish practical AI governance frameworks covering data access, privacy, security, reliability, and responsible use for hundreds of users.

Requirements

Strong hands-on software or AI engineering experience with proficiency in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or comparable languages, with a track record of delivering production systems.
Demonstrable experience building LLM knowledge management or retrieval systems, such as RAG architectures, LLM wikis, enterprise search, or similar context-engineering solutions.
Practical expertise designing agentic memory, retrieval strategies, context management, and permission-aware knowledge access systems.
Deep, hands-on Claude Code expertise with specific examples of workflows, skills, subagents, MCP integrations, or harnesses you have personally built and deployed.
Proven ownership of production agent harnesses, including evaluations, observability, guardrails, debugging, maintenance, and continuous improvement in real-world settings.
Strong AWS experience with relevant services such as Lambda, Bedrock, IAM, S3, and vector search or OpenSearch, with demonstrated attention to security, scalability, and cost management.
Experience working within an organization undergoing significant technology or AI transformation, including expertise in the human and organizational aspects of adoption and change management.
