Role overview

Kong is an AI Connectivity Company that builds the platform enterprises use to manage APIs, AI agents, and the infrastructure connecting them. As an Account Development Representative focused on Majors and Enterprise outbound business, you’ll be the first point of contact in Kong’s expansion strategy, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities across the EMEA Majors and Enterprise segment while working closely with Sales and Marketing teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and run outbound campaigns from conception through to qualified meetings.
  • Engage decision-makers across multiple channels including phone, email, LinkedIn, and video.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives and Marketing teams as a connector between top-of-funnel activity and deeper sales engagement.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records and manage your pipeline with attention to process and data quality.
  • Use AI tools to increase your productivity, work at speed, and personalize your outreach to prospects.
  • Actively invest in your own development and work with your manager to identify growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Some experience in a customer-facing or sales role, which may include internships, retail, or hospitality roles where you’ve demonstrated the ability to build rapport and drive outcomes.
  • A hunter mentality and proactive approach to finding and pursuing new leads rather than waiting for opportunities to come to you.
  • High coachability with the ability to receive feedback, apply it quickly, and actively seek guidance for improvement.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with clarity and confidence when engaging prospects.
  • Genuine curiosity about technology and a willingness to understand what Kong does and why it matters to customers.

What makes this role worth considering

Kong invests significantly in developing its people through a structured 4-week sales bootcamp, weekly one-on-one mentorship, and continuous training. ADRs at Kong are positioned as the next wave of Account Executives, with clear pathways into leadership roles. The hybrid working arrangement is based from Kong’s central London office near Bank and London Bridge stations, requiring 2–3 days per week in office, with a location described as particularly pleasant during summer months.
