Role overview

Satispay is a financial services platform serving over 6.5 million users, offering payments, benefits, investing, and cards. As Accounting Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Consolidation and Financial Reporting and oversee all operational accounting activities across group entities, ensuring financial accuracy and balance sheet integrity as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles under Italian and Luxembourg GAAP, maintaining General Ledger and subledger accuracy while overseeing bank reconciliations and capital expenditure accounting.
Prepare statutory financial statements across entities in Italy and Luxembourg and manage direct and indirect tax compliance workflows including VAT, corporate income tax accruals, and withholding taxes in partnership with the group Head of Tax.
Serve as the primary operational contact for external auditors and coordinate all audit readiness activities.
Partner with Group Reporting to provide reconciled local entity financial data and support the transition toward IAS/IFRS dual-reporting.
Implement standardized accounting workflows and enforce internal control procedures over daily entries and payment releases, driving process automation within modern ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA.
Lead, mentor, and organize the operational accounting team, setting clear goals, balancing workloads, and maintaining high technical standards.

Requirements

At least 7 years of operational accounting experience with deep knowledge of Italian and Luxembourg GAAP, IAS/IFRS frameworks, full closing cycles, and General Ledger management.
Proven expertise in tax compliance including VAT and local taxes.
Demonstrated track record managing statutory audit processes and coordinating financial data for group reporting standards.
Proven experience leading, inspiring, and developing an operational accounting team.
Strong ability to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines and translate group governance into daily operational routines.
