Role overview

Satispay is a financial platform serving over 6.5 million users, offering payments, benefits, investing, and card services. As a Finance Operations Specialist, you will manage the daily operational processes of the finance team, ensuring accuracy and compliance while driving efficiency through automation and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

Run and continuously improve the finance team’s day-to-day operational processes while maintaining accuracy, timeliness and adherence to internal controls.
Own bank, payment-provider and ledger reconciliations end to end, including matching transactions, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accurate balances at month-end close.
Design and build new operational processes from scratch, including mapping workflows, establishing controls, documenting procedures and defining ownership and escalation paths.
Write and maintain Python scripts to automate reconciliation, matching and other routine tasks to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
Collaborate with the finance team and internal stakeholders to support new projects while ensuring operational alignment with tax, accounting and treasury guidelines.
Extract, manipulate and analyze financial data to monitor open items, report on process status and optimize treasury processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management, Economics, Computer Science or a related field.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in finance operations or accounting, including reconciliation work and ideally experience setting up or improving operational processes.
Solid, proven experience with Python and scripting applied to data manipulation, automation or API integrations.
Good understanding of accounting principles, ERP systems, bank reconciliation and month-end close workflows.
Strong detail orientation, analytical thinking, organizational skills, problem-solving ability and communication skills to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in both English and Italian.
