Role overview

This is a structured three-to-four-year development programme designed for UAE Nationals to build a career in airport operations with Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national airline. You will gain hands-on experience across airport ground operations, network operations, aircraft dispatch, and safety and security functions, preparing you for future leadership roles in aviation.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate and deliver guest acceptance and handling across all airport touchpoints including check-in, boarding, and arrivals while maintaining exceptional customer service and full compliance with safety, security, and brand standards.
Achieve performance targets aligned with agreed key performance indicators, ancillary revenue goals, and customer service objectives.
Coordinate on-shift operations with internal and external stakeholders such as airline teams, handling partners, service providers, and local authorities through clear briefings and real-time updates.
Manage flight editing and special guest requirements, including planning and handling of VIP guests, passengers with reduced mobility, and other special-category passengers.
Liaise with Guest Control, Business Solutions, Network Control, and the Security Operations Center to manage operational disruptions and support emergency response efforts.

Requirements

Be a UAE National aged 19 or older with a valid family book.
Hold a minimum High School Diploma accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education.
Be fluent in English.
Have experience working in a customer service position, which is preferred.
Be able to work on shift-based schedules.
Be willing to wear the Etihad uniform with pride.
Have completed or be permanently exempted from UAE National Service (requirement for males only).
