Role overview

Etihad Airways seeks an experienced Captain to command Airbus A330 aircraft as the airline expands its modern fleet and network across six continents. You will hold full operational authority for every flight, ensuring the safety and security of passengers, crew, and cargo while leading with professionalism and upholding the airline’s commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the safety and security of all crew members, passengers, cargo, and the aircraft throughout flight operations.
• Exercise complete command of the aircraft from the moment of pushback until final engine shutdown at the destination.
• Lead and manage the flight and cabin crew with sound decision-making and effective crew resource management practices.
• Operate the aircraft with efficiency and environmental responsibility, adhering to Etihad’s fuel and sustainability policies.
• Achieve consistent on-time performance to meet the airline’s reliability standards and guest satisfaction objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum 7,000 hours of total flying time.
• Minimum 2,500 pilot-in-command hours as commander.
• Minimum 1,500 pilot-in-command hours on the A330 aircraft type.
• A330 flying experience within the last 12 months, with a valid A330 type rating good for at least 2 months from joining.
• Unrestricted and current ICAO Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL) licence with unrestricted Class 1 medical certification.
• Proficiency in English at Level 4 or higher for both written and verbal communication.
• Must not have reached 59 years of age on the joining date; current Trainer/Examiner (TRE/TRI) qualification is advantageous.
