Role overview

Kong is seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to drive sales of its Enterprise Platform to large organisations in the UK market. As the primary point of contact between Kong and enterprise prospects, you will be central to the company’s customer acquisition strategy and growth trajectory.

Key responsibilities

Sell Kong’s Enterprise Platform directly to enterprise customers and prospects across the UK.
Manage your own territory and book of business, including researching customer buying criteria, documenting decision-making processes, and determining the right sales approach for each opportunity.
Maintain pipeline accuracy by working leads systematically toward closure and providing evidence-based forecasting.
Provide account leadership and strategic direction during both pre-sales and post-sales phases of customer engagements.
Analyse wins and losses to inform future sales strategy and team performance.
Travel to customer sites as needed, typically between 30–50% of the time.
Meet individual quota and sales objectives.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience selling enterprise software solutions.
Proven track record working in fast-growing or early-stage companies with enterprise products.
Background in or knowledge of open source, APIs, and infrastructure software.
Ability to leverage existing professional relationships and apply proven sales methodologies to close deals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
Self-motivated and results-driven approach to meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Genuine commitment to understanding how customers benefit from their investment in Kong’s products.
