Role overview
Satispay is a financial services platform serving over 6.5 million users, offering payments, benefits, investing, and card services. As a Financial Accountant, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting department for Satispay Group, supporting the company’s mission to empower people through accessible financial services.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and subledgers with accurate and timely postings, maintaining robust documentation standards and ensuring full reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
- Prepare and review detailed balance sheet reconciliations to ensure traceability and consistency across all accounts.
- Oversee fixed assets and capitalisation policies, managing amortisation schedules and related accounting treatments.
- Handle payroll accounting entries in coordination with external providers, ensuring accurate accruals, reconciliations, and alignment with statutory records.
- Serve as the primary contact for statutory auditors, providing structured and high-quality supporting documentation.
- Prepare accounting data required for VAT and other tax filings, ensuring consistency between accounting records and tax submissions.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, control, and documentation practices within the accounting function.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of accounting experience in fintech, finance, or corporate services, with strong exposure to full closing cycles.
- Solid knowledge of Italian and/or Luxembourg GAAP, with IFRS exposure considered advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic and fast-paced environments while meeting tight deadlines with precision.
- Excellent organisational skills and capability to balance teamwork with independent work execution.
- Proficiency working in structured ERP environments and modern digital accounting systems, with strong analytical abilities and advanced spreadsheet skills required; experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly valued.
- Fluency in both Italian and English to communicate effectively with the international team.
