Role overview
Coinbase is seeking a Group Product Manager to lead the Compliance Agent Experience product team within its Enterprise and Account Access organization. This role involves overseeing internal tooling and AI-powered investigation platforms used by Compliance Operations to manage financial crime programs including AML Transaction Monitoring, KYC, Enhanced Due Diligence, and Sanctions/Screening. You will own an automation-first roadmap designed to help investigators triage alerts, assess risk, and document decisions more efficiently, allowing human teams to focus on high-judgment decisions while the platform handles repeatable work at scale.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Compliance Agent Experience product area, including vision, strategy, and execution across AML/TMS, KYC, EDD, and Sanctions/Screening investigation surfaces.
- Develop and drive a multi-year roadmap for AI-assisted, human-in-the-loop investigation workflows that reduce cycle time, improve decision quality, and increase automation adoption.
- Lead build-versus-buy decisions and vendor strategy for investigation enablement tools such as OSINT, case enrichment, and LLM tooling, conducting evaluations and RFPs with Compliance, Legal, Security, and Procurement partners.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science/ML teams, Compliance Program owners, and CX Operations to deliver integrated tooling that minimizes context-switching and improves investigation throughput.
- Define and establish success metrics for Compliance tooling, including investigation cycle time, average handle time, escalation rates, QA outcomes, false positive reduction, and automation adoption, reporting progress to executive stakeholders.
- Shape security, privacy, auditability requirements, and model governance to ensure regulatory readiness while maintaining usability for investigators.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of product management experience, with 5 or more years leading and developing product management teams, and a demonstrated track record shipping internal tooling or operational platforms at global scale.
- Experience building AI/ML-powered automation or workflow products such as LLM-based assistants, human-in-the-loop decisioning systems, or intelligent case routing in compliance, fintech, or similarly regulated environments.
- Deep knowledge of AML, transaction monitoring, investigations, sanctions screening, KYC/EDD operations, and understanding of auditability and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to define measurable outcomes including throughput and quality metrics, instrument product surfaces, and use data to prioritize roadmaps across multi-team portfolios.
- Track record leading cross-functional programs spanning engineering, compliance, data science, and operations across 5 or more teams, with experience communicating strategy and tradeoffs to VP-level audiences.
- Demonstrated responsible use of generative AI with maintained human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
