What You Will Be Doing
As a Hostess, you will be the first face guests see. Your duties include:
- Seating guests promptly at tables set for their party size and matching their preferences.
- Setting up the hostess stand and reviewing the reservation book.
- Keeping a station chart and cover count, while respecting each server’s workload.
- Answering phone calls in line with Four Seasons standards, taking reservations, and giving information about the restaurant and other hotel services.
- Anticipating guest needs, solving problems, and remembering regular guests by name.
- Checking daily menus for quality and appearance, and learning all menu items and daily specials.
- Making sure tables are properly set and making small adjustments when needed.
- Completing special projects such as menu changes and signage.
- Working politely and smoothly with colleagues and supervisors.
Education and Experience Required
- A degree is preferred, ideally in hotel and restaurant management.
- Two to four years of experience in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Excellent English is required. Knowing Arabic is an added advantage.

A good hostess is warm, well-groomed, and confident. Strong communication, a good memory for names and faces, calm handling of busy periods, and teamwork are all important in this role.
Expected Salary
