Role overview

e.construct, a global engineering firm with offices across multiple continents, is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment Officer for its Dubai location. The company specializes in innovative engineering solutions for structural design, including bridges, high-rise buildings, commercial facilities, and advanced technologies like 3D concrete printing. This full-time position will support the firm’s commitment to maintaining robust HSE standards across its operations.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures across the Dubai office and associated project sites.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal standards.
Investigate incidents and near-misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Provide HSE training and induction programs to staff and site personnel.
Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics and key indicators.
Liaise with external authorities and regulatory bodies regarding HSE matters.

Requirements

Proven experience working as an HSE Officer or in a similar health, safety, and environmental role.
Strong knowledge of UAE health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to train and influence staff at all levels.
Proficiency in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation methodologies.
Relevant HSE certifications or qualifications preferred.
