Role overview

BEUMER Group, an international manufacturing leader in intralogistics and conveying technology, is seeking an IT Infrastructure and Support Engineer to join their team in Doha. This role is essential to maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity environment, with a specific focus on supporting 24/7/365 airport Baggage Handling System operations. The engineer will ensure reliable, secure, and continuous IT services across the entire technology infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

Implement, maintain, and secure the organization’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity environment to support uninterrupted airport baggage handling operations.
Provide hands-on technical support across server infrastructure, virtualization, storage, backup and recovery systems, and network infrastructure.
Manage endpoint security, system monitoring, and cybersecurity operations to protect critical systems.
Execute infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and technology implementations while minimizing disruption to business-critical operations.
Perform security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and patch management across the infrastructure.
Support IT/OT initiatives and infrastructure improvement projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure administration, systems engineering, or IT operations.
Practical experience managing enterprise server, virtualization, storage, backup, and network environments.
Demonstrated experience implementing infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, security hardening, and technology improvement projects.
Hands-on experience with cybersecurity operations, vulnerability remediation, patch management, and infrastructure security controls.
Experience supporting business-critical or 24/7 operational environments is highly desirable.
Exposure to airport systems, baggage handling systems, industrial environments, or IT/OT infrastructure is advantageous.
