Role overview
Geotab, a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to support its growing Oakville, Ontario office. You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and readiness of Geotab’s facilities across multiple office locations, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional workplace for all employees.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on building equipment, systems, fixtures, and infrastructure across assigned Geotab locations.
- Travel to satellite offices in Waterloo, Toronto, and other locations to conduct maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Coordinate with external vendors and property management to schedule ongoing, emergency, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Use Jira to manage facilities requests, document issues and updates, and track work through to resolution.
- Set up, arrange, relocate, or remove furniture and decorations to support office moves, events, and workspace changes.
- Monitor cleaning and maintenance supplies, maintain tools and equipment, and assist with the Pool Car program.
- Respond to facility emergencies and urgent maintenance requests during and outside standard business hours.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- One to three years of experience in janitorial services, building maintenance, facilities coordination, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of building maintenance procedures, cleaning equipment, products, techniques, and safe operating practices.
- Demonstrated ability to perform minor repairs to building systems, fixtures, and equipment.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Valid driver’s license for travel between office locations and to support the Pool Car program.
- Trade certifications or WHMIS training are assets; willingness to provide on-call and after-hours support as needed.
