Role overview

The Exploration Company is building spacecraft for humanity. As Procurement Manager for Mechanisms, you will report directly to the Procurement Team Lead Physical Design and take full ownership of supplier relationships and procurement processes within the Thermal Protection scope.

Key responsibilities

Manage all potential and contracted suppliers within the Thermal Protection perimeter throughout their entire lifecycle.
Execute the full Source to Contract process including supplier scouting, request for proposal phases, down-selection, contract negotiation and award, and contract execution.
Provide end-to-end oversight of supplier performance and compliance both before and after contract signature.
Work with the Thermal Protection engineering team to define and evolve the Make or Buy Strategy for their area.
Collaborate with suppliers to achieve challenging cost and schedule targets, continuously driving improvement.
Manage risk and opportunity identification across the supply base and ensure appropriate mitigation actions are implemented.
Maintain accurate and current records in relevant systems including ERP-ODOO and internal contract tracking files, and deliver regular progress reports to your manager.

Requirements

Hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Business Law, or possess a Bachelor’s degree combined with equivalent professional experience.
Have at least three years of work experience in a role managing complex contracts for technical products, whether in Sales, Bid Management, Procurement, or Commodity Management.
Demonstrate a proven track record working in complex technical environments where new technologies are developed.
Be fluent in English; knowledge of German, French, Italian, or Spanish is valued.
Communicate effectively with colleagues from technical and engineering disciplines.
Manage high workloads autonomously, prioritize urgent items, and proactively communicate delays or risks to stakeholders.
Show drive and focus in contract execution and delivery against key objectives; legal expertise in EU commercial law is a plus.
