Role overview
Halter is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to establish and lead the sales operation in South Australia. The company provides virtual fencing technology that enables farmers and graziers to manage livestock more productively and sustainably, freeing them from traditional constraints like quad bikes, dogs, and physical fencing. This is a leadership position where you will build the South Australian team from the ground up during a period of significant market expansion.
Key responsibilities
- Set and manage sales quotas, commissions and other performance metrics for the South Australian sales team.
- Coach, mentor and develop junior sales staff to support their professional growth and help them reach targets.
- Source new leads and opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, industry events and inbound inquiries.
- Manage the complete sales pipeline from prospect screening and qualification through on-farm demonstrations to contract negotiation and deal closure.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success team to ensure smooth post-sales handoff, successful implementations and customer retention.
- Build and maintain industry relationships to establish Halter’s brand presence in South Australia and participate in relevant events and demonstrations.
- Work with the wider team to optimise the sales process and provide customer feedback to inform product development.
Requirements
- At least five years of end-to-end sales experience with a proven track record of sourcing prospects, securing meetings and creating new opportunities.
- Demonstrated success in value-based selling with a history of closing deals and delivering high-volume sales results.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present value propositions effectively to potential customers.
- Results-driven mindset with exceptional time management skills and the ability to adapt in high-pressure sales environments.
- Experience in the beef farming sector or broader agricultural industry is highly desirable.
- Sales experience within the technology industry is preferred.
- A university degree or equivalent qualification is valued but not essential.
