Role overview

Satispay is a financial platform serving over 6.5 million users, offering payments, benefits, investing, and card services. As a Senior Backend Software Engineer in the Core Domain, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the critical systems that power the payment platform, ensuring these high-performance systems remain reliable and scalable for product teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities

Design and evolve core platform domains including the Transaction Ledger, Identity & Access Management, and Payment Orchestration systems.
Optimize and implement services supporting bank integrations, credit risk assessment, and real-time fraud detection.
Lead technical analysis for cross-service projects and produce comprehensive technical documentation for stakeholders.
Establish and maintain high technical quality standards through rigorous testing strategies and safe deployment practices.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, guiding them in adopting tools and practices that improve development velocity.
Drive a culture of simplicity and maintainability within the engineering team.

Requirements

At least five years of professional experience in backend software engineering with demonstrated expertise in microservices and cloud environments.
Deep technical proficiency with Java and Spring Boot.
Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture and design patterns.
Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and coordinate implementations across multiple teams.
Passion for FinTech and a focus on delivering software that meets user needs.
Fluency in English for communication within an international environment.
