Senior Data Analyst – Product
Role overview
Satispay is a financial platform serving over 6.5 million users, offering payments, benefits, investing, and cards. As Senior Data Analyst for Product, you’ll own the analytics strategy for a domain, working closely with product teams to measure what matters and drive decisions through data.
Key responsibilities
- Define, maintain, and evolve the KPI framework across all product pods, ensuring the team has a shared, reliable view of product performance across activation, adoption, usage, retention, monetisation, risk and cost signals.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses of user behaviour across product funnels and journeys to identify drop-offs, usage patterns, and unmet needs, then translate findings into prioritised recommendations for the Product team.
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to shape the experimentation roadmap, including hypothesis definition, success and guardrail metrics, sample sizing, and test design, then deliver readouts and feed learnings back into planning.
- Size opportunities, build business cases for new features, and measure post-launch impact to close the loop between shipping and outcomes delivered.
- Build dashboards and reports using tools like Hex or Looker that give Product, Operations, and leadership real-time visibility into launches, performance, and anomalies without requiring custom queries.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for Product, Design, Engineering, Operations, and executive stakeholders.
- Design and implement AI-assisted workflows to automate recurring analyses, anomaly detection, and reporting, and to accelerate ad-hoc exploration.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in product analytics, data analytics, or business intelligence roles, ideally embedded within a product team in a consumer app, fintech, or payments environment, with hands-on experience in high-volume, high-frequency event data.
- Solid expertise in funnel, cohort, retention, and segmentation analysis, plus deep knowledge of consumer lifecycle metrics including Acquisition, Activation, Retention, and Monetisation, with fintech-specific KPI experience valued.
- Proven experience designing and analysing A/B tests, including hypothesis definition, power and sample size calculation, guardrail metrics, statistical significance assessment, and clear communication of results to non-technical audiences.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for analysis, with additional experience in dbt, Git, and notebook-based analytics platforms such as Hex, Databricks, or Jupyter considered advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with Hex, Looker, or similar data visualisation tools to build self-service dashboards and monitoring systems.
- Comfortable using AI tools daily for analytics, automation, and ad-hoc analyses, with basic to mid-level proficiency in Claude and experience interacting with agents programmatically via APIs as a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with ambiguity, break down complex questions into focused workstreams, and take end-to-end ownership of projects from framing to recommendation.
