Role overview

Kepler Communications operates a commercial optical data relay constellation with 33 satellites launched to date, providing real-time on-orbit connectivity for critical missions. As Senior Infrastructure Security Specialist, you will be responsible for protecting the company’s corporate, cloud, and operational infrastructure across multiple environments, including those handling Protected or Classified information for the Government of Canada.

Key responsibilities

Own and enhance infrastructure security capabilities including vulnerability management, security monitoring, endpoint protection, and system hardening.
Oversee incident response activities to address security threats and breaches across corporate and operational systems.
Partner with IT, Engineering, and Operations teams to identify and reduce security risks while enabling the company’s growth.
Support regulated and Government of Canada environments that process Protected or Classified information.
Report directly to the VP, Information Security & CISO on security posture and improvements.

Requirements

Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure security, vulnerability management, and security monitoring systems.
Experience with endpoint protection technologies and system hardening methodologies.
Proven incident response capabilities and ability to manage security events.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across IT, Engineering, Operations, and other departments.
Familiarity with regulated environments and Government of Canada security requirements for Protected or Classified information handling.
