Your work will be reviewed by experienced engineers and deployed directly to clients, giving you real-world engineering impact from day one. Lean is the leading financial infrastructure provider in MENA, trusted by over 350 clients and backed by major venture capital firms.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug software features moving from ticket through to production deployment, with mentorship and code review from experienced team members.
- Integrate agentic coding tools into your workflow to improve both code quality and development velocity while maintaining full control over what is shipped.
- Participate in code reviews by both receiving and providing thoughtful feedback on engineering work.
- Rapidly learn the team’s technology stack, development tools, and workflows to ship meaningful contributions within your first weeks.
- Attend stand-ups, planning sessions, and reviews while communicating early about any risks to work you own.
- Develop working knowledge of Lean’s clients, their end-users, and the regulatory environment governing financial infrastructure.
- Engage across the broader organization through company events, product demos, and collaborative projects beyond your immediate team.
Requirements
- Currently a final-year student or graduate within the last 12 months in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience using agentic coding tools as a core part of your development workflow, with judgment about when to trust and when to scrutinize their output.
- Working proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
- Understanding of fundamental engineering practices including version control, testing, and debugging.
- A completed project outside of coursework, such as a side project, hackathon submission, open-source contribution, or previous internship experience.
- Ability to articulate your problem-solving approach and walk through how you break down complex challenges.
- Clear written communication skills to explain what you have built and the reasoning behind your decisions.
