Role overview

As a Solutions Consultant at Xero, you will work as a technical advisor and strategic partner alongside the sales team to design custom solutions for accounting practice partners. You will translate client requirements into scalable workflows, identify implementation risks, and help firms maximize the value they gain from the Xero platform over the long term.

Key responsibilities

Lead technical discovery sessions and solution scoping activities in collaboration with Account Executives to understand partner needs.
Design and deliver customized product demonstrations that address specific workflow challenges faced by accounting and bookkeeping firms.
Guide practice partners through cloud implementation processes, including workflow mapping and early adoption training.
Provide technical expertise during sales cycles to resolve operational concerns and remove implementation barriers.
Share market insights with internal teams to inform product development decisions.
Work with partners to transform their teams into long-term advocates for the Xero platform.

Requirements

Direct operational experience working within an accounting or bookkeeping practice environment.
Demonstrated success in consultative problem solving, pre-sales work, or technical solution design in complex business settings.
Strong ability to explain complicated concepts clearly and deliver engaging demonstrations to varied audiences.
Deep knowledge of cloud-based accounting platforms and the broader practice management software landscape.
Practical experience or comfort using modern productivity technologies, including AI tools, to design efficient solutions.
Well-developed interpersonal skills with confidence to work effectively across ambiguous situations and collaborate with internal and external teams.
