Role overview
Wealthsimple, Canada’s leading financial innovator, is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the next phase of growth in serving high-net-worth clients. This remote role is based in Canada and focuses on the Consolidation team, which owns onboarding, the core app experience, and the Tiers program (Premium and Generation). You will drive the product vision and strategy to expand Wealthsimple’s presence upmarket and help millions of Canadians consolidate their financial lives on the platform.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own the product vision and strategy for winning and serving high-net-worth clients, including the complete roadmap for execution.
- Lead planning, development, launch, and iteration of a significant evolution of the Tiers program to deliver the service depth, recognition, and product quality that high-net-worth clients expect from their primary financial institution.
- Build personalized in-product experiences that help clients understand the value of consolidating their broader financial lives at Wealthsimple.
- Manage the complete funding and consolidation funnel from a client’s first interaction through to a fully consolidated relationship, designing incentives, onboarding journeys, and product experiences.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineers, designers, and data scientists to explore new ways of working and problem-solving.
- Partner deeply with teams across Marketing, Operations, Client Experience, Legal, Compliance, and other departments to own meaningful pieces directly and influence broader strategy.
- Contribute to elevating the Product Management practice at Wealthsimple and help build an inclusive and supportive team culture.
Requirements
- Proven track record of shipping products that people genuinely value, with experience owning a complete product or substantial product area and leading complex cross-functional projects.
- Strong bias toward rapid shipping and iteration; comfort with putting incomplete work in front of clients to learn and refine rather than pursuing endless planning.
- Technical fluency sufficient to discuss architecture and tradeoffs with engineers, combined with genuine curiosity to learn areas you don’t yet know.
- Systems thinking ability to distill complex use cases and messy problems into simple, elegant solutions.
- Rigorous, systematic approach to problem-solving with comfort working in ambiguous situations and extracting real insights from raw qualitative and quantitative data.
- Clear communication skills and collaborative leadership approach that ensures diverse stakeholder voices are heard and valued.
- Genuine commitment to financial inclusion and building products that expand access to financial freedom.
