Role overview

The Technical Data Controller supports Etihad Airways’ line maintenance operations by managing data entry and records storage for all routine and non-routine work completed according to company procedures. Based in Abu Dhabi, this full-time position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate aircraft technical documentation and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.

Key responsibilities

Implement policies and procedures for Short-Term Planning, including data entry and record storage or archival activities.
Ensure aircraft technical records are stored in compliance with GCAA regulations and departmental Key Performance Indicators.
Reconcile all aircraft maintenance paperwork according to Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation procedures.
Report erroneous or missing logs to Line Stations using agreed formats and timescales established by the department.
Maintain a complete handover log book documenting all events and outstanding issues from each worked shift.
Support the Manager Resource Planning and Capacity Planning team during investigations, projects or activities to meet prescribed deadlines.
Assist with training company members in Etihad Airways IT systems and support knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements

Three years of experience in an aviation engineering or production environment.
A diploma or aircraft license with at least two years of experience in aviation maintenance.
Knowledge of aviation regulations including GCAA CARs, ICAO and IOSA standards.
Fluency in English with high computer literacy and excellent reporting and writing skills.
Knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
Completion of mandatory induction training in accordance with company procedures within six months of joining.
