Key Responsibilities

In this role, your day-to-day work will include:

  • Leading the full architectural design process for stations, ancillary buildings, and transport-related facilities
  • Reviewing and overseeing architectural deliverables from concept stage through to tender
  • Coordinating closely with teams across infrastructure, rail systems, urban planning, MEP, structural, and environmental disciplines
  • Ensuring all design outputs meet regulatory standards, client expectations, and technical requirements
  • Working directly with airport stakeholders to guarantee smooth integration with terminals, passenger flow, and operational systems
  • Making sure station designs support accessibility, safety, wayfinding, and long-term maintainability
  • Tracking design progress and keeping it aligned with programme timelines and budget targets
  • Leading design reviews, coordination workshops, risk assessments, and value engineering sessions
  • Identifying design risks early and putting practical mitigation plans in place
  • Supporting the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and tender documents
  • Overseeing BIM integration and ensuring multidisciplinary coordination is applied across all architecture packages
  • Mentoring and guiding the wider architectural design team

What You Need to Qualify

Parsons is looking for candidates who bring the following:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Professional certification or membership with a relevant architectural body is an added advantage
  • At least 15 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong track record in rail, metro, airport, or transportation infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary design teams and navigate complex interfaces
  • Solid understanding of station planning, passenger flow, and integrated transport environments
  • Familiarity with international design standards and local regulatory frameworks
  • Proficiency in BIM platforms and architectural coordination tools is a bonus
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who also have the following will stand out:

  • Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, particularly across the GCC region
  • Previous involvement in projects that include airport integration or intermodal transport hubs
