Australian work visa/permit according to new Australian immigration law.
The federal government of Australia has signed an agreement with two regional governments in which work
visa processing has been made easier for skilled and unskilled people in these regions.
This agreement is called DAMA (designated area migration agreement).
The Australian government has made this agreement with the northern territory and south coast, Victoria government.
Although DAMA was an old agreement it was amended for making visa processing better than before. This agreement was renewed for 5 years. Basic amendments in this agreement are done to making a work visa easier.
Various companies and employers were demanding for workers and many people want to work in Austrian so this agreement was done to make work visa processing easy for them.
DAMA work visa is issued under Australian subclass 482 temporary skill shortage occupation.
According to new principles, all the workers who come to Austria with this visa and work in these regions will get permanent residency in Australia.
Lists of jobs also increased. They added 117 more Jobs to the list.
These jobs include driver, cook, cabinet maker, carpenter, and accelerator operator.
Before the agreement, the work visa was only given to workers to whom the employer has offered more than $53 Australian but this condition is changed in this agreement.
Requirements for the Austrian work visa
5 bands of IELTS are required to apply for the work visa. In some departments, you can apply with 4 bands as
well.
Qualification and experience depends upon jobs you are applying for the Australian work visa
As it is a sponsored visa, you will need to have a job offer. For that, you will contact employers of your
relevant field. And you will send your CV to the employer. If the employer selects you, he will send you a
job offer letter and sponsor you. After then, you can apply for a work visa.
