Role overview

As a Senior Associate on the Business Operations & Strategy team at Coinbase, you will work directly with senior leadership to tackle the company’s most critical strategic and operational challenges. You’ll partner primarily with product and sales leaders across Consumer, Institutional, Base, and Stablecoins divisions, turning complex business problems into data-driven recommendations that shape product strategy and go-to-market approaches.

Key responsibilities

Frame complex, ambiguous strategic problems for leadership and develop actionable recommendations supported by quantitative analysis and modeling.
Build financial models and business cases that identify new opportunities and directly inform Institutional product strategy and market positioning.
Maintain deep knowledge of competitive positioning, peer benchmarks, and the crypto landscape to strengthen strategic recommendations.
Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses, measure outcomes, and drive measurable improvements across Institutional products.
Own strategic workstreams end-to-end, from initial problem definition through analysis, recommendations, and implementation.
Enhance team capabilities by improving processes, analytical frameworks, and operational tools.

Requirements

At least five years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or product strategy with demonstrated ownership of complete strategic initiatives.
Proven ability to build quantitative models and business cases that directly influenced senior executive decisions.
Familiarity with institutional finance, capital markets, or cryptocurrency and digital assets markets.
Strong track record of delivering clear, concise written and verbal recommendations to senior stakeholders in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Experience with SQL and business intelligence tools such as Hex, Superset, or Looker, or crypto analytics platforms like Dune Analytics or Etherscan is advantageous but not required.
Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
